Marjorie Shinkle

I was welcomed into this world in Phoenixville, PA in 1957.  I spent most of my life in that southeastern area of Pennsylvania.  I have an AS degree from Reading Area Community College and a BS from Muhlenberg College in Allentown.  I worked 20 years for Kraft Foods in Fogelsville in a variety of capacities including transport driver, yard jockey, forklift operator, salads pourables and barbeque sauce cook, processed cheese cook, and third shift sanitation in both the salads and the processed cheese department.  During this time I also owned and operated a 17 acre horse farm/boarding stable.  In 1999, I left Kraft Foods, taking advantage of a severance package offering, to attend massage therapy school.  In 2002, I moved to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina with my husband, Erwin.  We currently reside in Crumpler, NC with our two canine partners in mischief.  I own and operate Ashe Massage Center, LLC where I specialize in therapeutic and medical massage for the relief of chronic pain.  I am one of just several hundred massage therapists to be nationally certified in medical massage.  It is very rewarding to be able to help people with their physical pain. 

I have pursued many different avenues in my life always searching somewhere out there for happiness, fulfillment and the key to my success.  After many years of disappointment, being hurt and journeying alone, I resolved myself to just going through the motions of everyday life but not really living my life as it was intended to be.  I was a closed down and lonely person when I was introduced to Total Success Institute in January of 2005.

The changes in my life have been many as I have worked my way through the TSI program.  Physically I have lost 35 pounds and over 30 inches from my body.  I feel and look better now than I have in years.  This new found me has helped to fuel the successes in the other areas of my life.  I own and operate Ashe Massage Center, LLC where I specialize in therapeutic and medical massage for the relief of chronic pain.  I have a working relationship with both chiropractic and medical doctors.  The 32% increase in my business in 2006 allowed me to pay off my vehicle early, take an 8-day trip to Ecuador and increase the amount going into my savings account to 10%.

The relationship with my husband, Erwin, has improved dramatically.  We were married in 1995 but it was impossible to have a nurturing, growing relationship with the secrets that I was keeping.  The safe supportive environment of TSI helped me to open up and begin to trust again.  Now we communicate more freely, dedicate time to one another and have a higher level of understanding and respect for each other.  We have even opened a retail camouflage clothing store together.  Socially I am more active in my community donating time and services to benefit local charities and serving with two local organizations involved with the growth of our downtown business community.
